Tucked away in the dramatic Dartmoor AONB countryside, our dog friendly retreat is the perfect escape for nature lovers. The lodge is surrounded by exquisite countryside and has unspoilt sweeping views of the vast moors of Dartmoor National Park and Teign Valley.
The property is in a great location and perfectly placed for discovering a myriad of idyllic towns, villages and activites. It is a short 3 mile drive from the closest Dartmoor town of Chagford with its award winning pubs and restaurants, cafes and shops.

Living Room
With an open-concept living/dining area this spacious sitting room includes a wood burning stove and French doors that open up onto the patio and the scenic views of the surrounding countryside. Two luxurious sofas and an armchair offers ample seating along with a Smart TV to provide endless entertainment.
Kitchen & Utility
The open-plan kitchen and dining space. You can stand around the kitchen island or dine at the kitchen table with amazing views over Dartmoor. Everything you should require during your stay is on hand including an Electric oven range cooker and gas hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, under counter fridge, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer.
Bedrooms
Sandsgate Lodge can accommodate 4 guests across 2 bedrooms. Choose from a twin room or a super-king size bedroom with its own en-suite. All the bedrooms are stylish with beautiful views.
Bathrooms
The super-king size bedroom has an en-suite with a shower, WC and basin.

There is a seperate WC and basin in the cloakroom/utility.
Gardens
The garden and lawns at the back of the house face due south and enjoy the last of the sun and unbroken views right across to Drogo Castle and the Moors. The patio that encloses the lodge is the perfect sheltered spot for an evening drink and has similarly stunning views.
At the front of the property there is a sheltered fire pit area perfect for huddling around a fire and toasting marshmallows. You may spot a huge rock in the wall - rumoured to be home to pixies and goblins
Grounds
The lodge is surrounded by arces of magnificent tranquil natural grounds. There is a lot of land to explore - farmland, ancient forest and even a prehistoric stone circle!
You are also visited by wildlife, deer, foxes, badgers and rabbits graze in the fields next door.
