Set in an AONB within Dartmoor National Park, Sandsgate House is a truly beautiful home. This lovely dog friendly home is perfect for large families and groups for retreats, get-togethers and celebrations. The house faces almost due south and has large windows so the property is flooded with light in the afternoon and evenings. The sunset from the garden is spectacular! The grounds are exceptional with unspoilt sweeping views of the vast tranquil moors, Teign Valley and Drogo Castle. The property is in a great location and perfectly placed for discovering a myriad of idyllic towns, villages and activites. It is a short 3 mile drive from the closest Dartmoor town of Chagford with its award winning pubs and restaurants, cafes and shops.

Living
The spacious sitting room includes several seating areas, a large open fire place and French windows that open up onto the patio. Three luxurious sofas and a pair of armchairs offers ample seating along with a Smart TV and board games to provide endless entertainment.
The is also a study for "working from home" opportunities.
Kitchen/Utility Room
Discover the lavish open-plan kitchen and dining space. You can dine around the kitchen island or the sizeable dining table with amazing views over Dartmoor.
Everything you should require during your stay is on hand including an Dual-fuel oven range cooker and hob, microwaves, fridge-freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer.​
Hall/Boot Room
The house has a separate hall and boot room, very useful for storing all the coats, muddy boots and dog leads after a long walk on Dartmoor.​​​​​

Sandsgate House can accomodate 13 guests across 6 bedrooms for flexible sleeping arrangements. All the bedrooms are stylish with beautiful views and a TV.
The first floor has 4 bedrooms - the master bedroom and 3 double bedrooms that share two family bathrooms.
The huge master bedroom has two queen beds and an ensuite. It is complete with its own sun room and balcony with views of Castle Drogo, which is one of the highlights of the property.
The second floor has two huge bedrooms under the eaves. Both have 2 beds each and share a bathroom.
Bathrooms
The first floor has a shower room with shower, WC and basin and a large family bathroom with a shower, basin, WC and a jacuzzi bath.
The second floor has another family bathroom with bath, basin and WC.
The huge master bedroom has an en-suite, with both shower and seperate bath.
Gardens and Grounds
The house has stunningly beautiful gardens, which are acres of magnificent tranquil natural ground, including ancient woodland and prehistoric stone features.
The gardens and lawns at the back of the house face south and enjoy the last of the sun and unbroken views right across to Castle Drogo and the moors.
The stone terrace is the perfect sheltered spot for an evening drink and has similarly stunning views.
There is also outdoor seating and tables for dining and relaxation.
